CURRICULUM VITAE

Péter Frucht, born in Hungary, immigrated to Germany in 1986. He pursued his studies in film and media arts at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne, learning under the tutelage of Prof. VALIE EXPORT among others. After attaining his diploma degree in audiovisual media (media arts), Péter engaged in several multimedia research projects at the Laboratory for Mixed Realities in Cologne. His artistic oeuvre spans various media, from film and video to interactive virtual reality installations, often with a focus on communication topics. His work has been showcased internationally, and in 2002, his installation "IOW IANALBIPOOTV MMIF WITH MFTW IBN COTFLGOHAHA ISBT" was nominated for the Japanese Media Art Award MAP in Tokyo. In 2005, Péter was the guest artist at the Netherlands Media Art Institute Montevideo in Amsterdam, where he developed his installation, "Stay Tuned".
